Subash Chandra Nembang, a prominent CPN-UML leader, passed away this morning. He was 70. Nembang served as the CPN-UML’s vice-chair, the Constituent Assembly chair, and the previous speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR). According to reports, he had a heart attack. Nembang passed away while receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) at 1:20 am today, his secretary, Krishna Prasad Kafle, reported to the media. He was immediately taken to the hospital after the complications.

As per the Gorkhapatra, he underwent a heart attack at home and was immediately taken to the Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj, Kathmandu for treatment but died on the way.
He was brought to the hospital at 1:20 a.m., as per the head of the emergency department. Dr. Ramesh Maharjan. The hospital officially announced his death at 4.00 p.m.
