Borisov was born on 14 August 1984 in Smolensk, Russia. He is of Russian nationality and belongs to the East Slavic tribes. There is no any info available about his parents and siblings.

Talking about his scholastic achievements, he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree on June 27, 2007, from the Russian Academy of Economics.

After completing his education, Borisov was chosen as a cosmonaut in 2018 together with 7 other candidates, and he passed the state exam to become eligible for spaceflight assignments in December 2020.

Konstantin Borisov and his new assignment SpaceX Crew-7
NASA assigned Borisov to the SpaceX Crew-7 mission, where he will be a Flight Engineer on Expedition 69/70. Where he is supposed to stay for six months.
It was one of the successful assignments of the NASA organization. is scheduled to be the eleventh crewed orbital trip and the seventh crewed operational NASA Commercial Crew flight of a Crew Dragon spacecraft. The mission was planned to be scheduled on 26 August 2023.
Previously in August 2022, Jasmin Moghbeli, an astronaut with NASA, Andreas Mogensen, an astronaut with the European Space Agency (ESA), and Konstantin Borisov, a cosmonaut with Roscosmos, have all been assigned to the mission. Mogensen is the first non-American to fly Crew Dragon. Satoshi Furukawa was named to the mission in 2022.
