Wadia has aspired to be a barrister since he was a child. She gained to notoriety as the matriarch Zainab Masood in EastEnders, a role she played until 2013. She rose to prominence as an actor in the BBC’s Goodness Gracious Me, which ran from 1998 to 2001. Wadia has also had guest appearances in 2point4 Children, The Vicar of Dibley, Thin Ice Chambers, Holby City, Murder in Mind, Doctors, and New Tricks, among other British comedies and dramas.
