After Dash and Hendryx moved to Philadelphia, they formed the Bluebelles with LaBelle (then Patricia Holte) and Cindy Birdsong. With “Down the Aisle” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” the renamed Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles broke into the top 40 twice.
