Kenyatta Scott, Sr., a close family member, was also injured in t he altercation, according to police. On July 27, 2022, the Bogalusa Police Department announced on Facebook that they had gotten a call about a gunshot in the 600 block of Superior Avenue in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

That evening, just before 6 p.m., police got a report of a shooting in the 600 block of Superior Avenue. One victim was taken to Our Lady of the Angels Emergency Room, according to police officers who responded to the site.

A second victim, who was still on the site, was gravely injured and was treated on the spot by EMS before being brought to the emergency hospital.
