The police then appealed to the public for assistance in tracking down her whereabouts, using tweets to generate a response from Londoners.

According to the New York Times, the Metropolitan Police Service of London searched roughly 750 properties in South London. Couzens charged with Everard’s kidnapping and murder on Friday (March 12), following approval from the Crown Prosecution Service. Couzens remanded in custody after appearing before a magistrate’s court on Saturday (March 13),. and will appear before the Central Criminal Court (commonly known as the Old Bailey) on Tuesday (March 16).
