It was reported in 2020 that Pinault and Hayek had left their Bel-Air estate. This was reported because the house was slated for demolition by the plans filed with the local authorities. The couple reportedly thought their 8,000 square foot home was too small, so they submitted plans to tear it down and build a brand new 17,500 square foot home in its stead. After the plans were authorized, the couple moved out in anticipation of the impending demolition.

Salma and François first acquired this property in 2007, paying $13.5 million to the previous owners, Kelsey and Camille Grammer. The residence sits just under an acre of land. Pinault has numerous homes scattered around the globe, which you would expect for a billionaire. These homes are reportedly located in London, Paris, and across the French countryside. Salma Hayek’s husband, François-Henri Pinault, is a French businessman, the chairman and CEO of Kering since 2005, and the president of Groupe Artémis since 2003.  Pinault married Dorothee Lepere for the first time in 1996. By 2004, the couple’s marriage had broken down, and they had raised two kids together. The following year, in 2006, François had a second child with supermodel Linda Evangelista. Following the breakup of their union, Salma Hayek, an actress, and Pinault began dating. 

A few months after they were wed in Paris, the couple celebrated their second wedding by renewing their vows there. Of particular note was Pinault’s surprise vow renewal for Hayek in 2018, which was staged as a spa day on the South Pacific island of Bora Bora. Salma Hayek Jiménez was born on September 2, 1966, in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico. As of now, she is 56 years old. Sami Hayek Dominguez, her father, is of Lebanese ancestry. Salma and her father traveled to Baabdat, Lebanon, in 2015 to promote Salma’s film Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet; his ancestors are from that city. He formerly ran for mayor of Coatzacoalcos, owns an industrial equipment company, and works as an executive for an oil company in Mexico.
