Mackenzie Anderson was killed at her home in Mayfield, Newcastle, NSW, where she was a mother, friend, and loved one to many. At approximately 10:40 p.m. on Friday night, police were called to the apartment complex after receiving reports that her ex-partner had “broken into her home.” Mackenzie was treated by paramedics on the site, but she died as a result of her serious injuries. She’d been stabbed a number of times. She was 21 years old at the time. As we know, Mackenzie Anderson was killed by her ex-boyfriend and the biological father of the child is unknown from the murder case. Likewise, the child’s biological father is unknown and Mackenzie parents are also unidentified in the media related to the murder.

Ms Anderson has been remembered as a beautiful person who was always willing to help people in tributes on social media. Her friend Alice McEvoy posted a tribute to Ms Anderson on Monday morning, calling the young woman her “best friend and sister”.

“I am completely heart broken,” she wrote in the caption of the video, which included a collection of photos and videos of Ms Anderson. “I will forever protect my godson & fight for justice for you kenz. I love you. This isn’t goodbye, only see you later.”

“We will love and miss you beautiful girl……..fly high gorgeous,” a relative wrote on her Facebook.

“You were so strong and [had] such a good soul and heart,” one friend said.

Another friend posted a video of the young woman laughing as she showed off some dance moves. “I guess god needed another angel,” the friend wrote.

Ms Anderson had allegedly been stabbed 20 times between the last phone call and the arrival of police minutes later. Her nearly two-year-old kid was unhurt physically but bathed in her blood. The gruesome scenes shocked even the most hardened cops. According to the Daily Mail Australia, a police source said Officers arrived to find Ms Anderson clinging to life.

‘She was still breathing,’ according to the source. She died to her injuries within minutes of police arrival and was declared dead on the scene.

Tyrone Thompson, the young woman’s ex-partner, was arrested and charged with carrying out the horrific attack

At around 10.40 p.m. on Friday, Tyrone Thompson, 22, reportedly assaulted Mackenzie Anderson, 21, at her Mayfield home. Police were called to the unit after claims of an armed person. Ms Anderson was found outside with substantial injuries from multiple stab wounds when authorities arrived. Paramedics attended to her, but she died on the spot.

Thompson was arrested around 12:40 a.m. on Saturday and transferred to the hospital, where he was treated for a hand injury that was thought to be related to the incident. He was charged with murder, aggravated entry into a house with intent, and violating an apprehended domestic violence order. Thompson is accused of violating an apprehended domestic violence order on March 24, the day before Ms Anderson was slain, in Berkeley Vale, California.

Thompson was released from the hospital on Monday and taken to Newcastle Local Court for a procedural hearing. He was wearing a short-sleeved green t-shirt and extensive bandages covering his right hand and much of his forearm as he sat in the dock, represented by a Legal Aid barrister. The case was continued for eight weeks by Magistrate Janine Lacy to allow a brief of evidence to be drafted and served. Thompson did not request bail, which was legally denied.

What did the police say about Mackenzie Anderson murdered case?

According to NSW Police, the event was a case of alleged domestic violence. Mr Thompson had previously been in a relationship with Ms Anderson, according to authorities, and had recently been freed on parole.

Police were alerted to a horrific scene on Friday night, according to Newcastle City Commander Superintendent Wayne Humphrey.

“I just spent the last 20 minutes or so watching body-worn footage, and it was a horrific scene, horrific,” he stated.

Ms Anderson was saved by NSW Ambulance personnel, however she died at the scene.

Superintendent Humphrey said the arrestee, a 22-year-old man, had previously been in a relationship with Ms Anderson and had been the subject of an apprehended violence order.

Tyrone Thompson was charged on Sunday with murder, aggravated enter house with intent, and breaching an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order in connection with Ms Anderson’s death.
