Oršić began his football career in Trešnjevca. He then joined Kustošija until 2008, when he joined Inter Zaprešić for HRK 90,000. As a member of that club, Oršić became the youngest player in HNL history to score a hat-trick. He stayed at Inter until 2013, when he moved to the Italian second-division Spezia, where he spent one season.

Then he joined Rijeka, where he never played before being loaned to Celje and the South Korean Jeonnam Dragons, who repurchased him. Mislav moved to Changchun Yatai, China after a year and a half in South Korea for €1.3 million. After spending six months in the People’s Republic of China, Oršić returned to South Korea in February 2017 and joined the Ulsan Hyundai club for 935 thousand euros.  He won the cup and his first trophy with that club.
