The actor got blessed with two children a son Elijah and daughter Juno after he married actress Carmen Ejogo in August 2000. The pair lived a happy family life in Brooklyn, New York. But from some year their married life ended in 2009, while official marriage ended in 2014.

Jeffrey and British actress Carmen Ejogo (44), born Nigerian / Scottish, have been married for 14 years (2000–2014). Carmen is another actress you may not know by name, but if she looks familiar to you, it might be because you recognize her as the late Coretta Scott King, whom she portrayed twice-in the movies, “Boycott” (2001) next to her then husband, Jeffrey; and in “Selma” (2014).

It was Mrs. King who loved her for the part as Carmen was preparing to play Mrs. Coretta Scott-King, and gave her blessings to Carmen. Another memorable character, “Sparkle,” was in the movie.
