Kimura had started on the famous Netflix reality show Terrace House earlier in September, in an incident filmed in early January, a male housewife named Kai washed his clothes when her outfit she wore at the Tokyo Dome was in the washer, then put it into the dryer and ruined the outfit. She had lost control and gave him a quick blow (slapped). hana received hate messages after the incident aired which plunged her into depression.

Hana Kimura died on May 23, 2020, she was 22 years old and her cause of death was not revealed. Kimura posted self-harm pictures of herself earlier in the day, and spoke about her extreme depression.

She also started appearing in Stardom during this time. Hanna joined up with her mum and Kagetsu to win the Stardom Championship Artist on October 2, 2016. The squad vacated the titles when Kimura was injured on 3 January 2017. Kimura also lost her JWP Junior Championship to Yako Fujigasaki on December 28, 2016, one week prior. Finally she became a member of the heel stable for Stardom, Oedo Tai. Her mum retired on January 22, 2017.

Hana Kimura split between Wrestle-1, Sendai Girls’ Pro Wrestling and Stardom in 2017 while becoming a full-time Wrestle-1 participant. On 21 June 2017, Kimura teamed up with her fellow Oedo Tai member, Kagetsu, to win the Stardom Championship Goddess by beating Team Jungle of Hiroyo Matsumoto and Jungle Kyona at Stardom’s Galaxy Stars 2017 event.
