Visiting the Destinations That the Rich and Famous Love

It sure would be nice to live like the rich and famous. After all, what could be better than living like a king and queen, where you can just do and get anything that you want, whenever you want it? Alas, for the majority of us mere mortals, that’s not a realistic goal. However, while we can’t live the life of a celebrity, we can certainly have the celebrity experience from time to time. How? By visiting the destinations that all those glamorous Hollywood celebs visit. Take a read below, and you’ll soon be buying a swimsuit for the beach, using an introductory table deal to ready yourself for Las Vegas, and preparing to shop till you drop in Dubai. If you’re looking for inspiration for your vacation this year, then this could well be it.

The Dominican Republic

Take one glimpse at the Dominican Republic, and you’ll perfectly understand why it’s such a popular destination for the rich and famous. After all, what’s not to love about miles upon miles of white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, beautiful scenery, and delicious food? And you can get to experience all of that with the sun’s wonderful rays shining down on you, too. If you’re looking to live like a Kardashian for a weekend, then it’s got to be the Dominican, which is about as close to paradise on earth as you’ll find.

Dubai

A few decades ago, no one had even heard of Dubai. And yet today, it’s one of the go-to destinations for the super-wealthy. So what happened? Well, to put it mildly, Dubai stepped up its game. Today, Dubai offers just about everything that a person with a limitless credit card could hope for. It’s a hotspot for luxury shopping, nightlife, restaurants, and more. Plus, it’s just plain old fun. You can do anything and everything in Dubai, all the while looking fantastic. You might not have the budget to live large in Dubai for too long, but you don’t need to be there for a week to get a sense of the city — a weekend will do just fine.

London

Dubai is a new hangout spot for the rich. London is an old, old hangout for the rich. London’s charm is evident in its historical buildings, world-class restaurants, iconic venues, and excellent shopping. There are haunts that seem to attract all the rich and famous who want to have what they consider to be the “quintessential English experience.” Pay a visit to iconic hotels such as Egerton House or the Connaught, and you never know which famous face you might bump into.

New York City

New York City isn’t just a place that the rich and famous like to visit. Oh no. They like to live there. And if you’ve ever been to the Big Apple, then you’ll understand why. New York is probably the capital of the world, especially in terms of culture, restaurants, art, music, and nightlife. Plus, if you live in Manhattan, it’s all highly walkable. Throw in the fact that it’s easier for celebrities to be anonymous in New York, and it’s clear why so many celebrities call it home.

Las Vegas

Even the rich and famous like to have fun! In fact, they like to have fun more than the average person. After all, they can afford to. And if you want to have a great time, then where do you go? The capital of fun, of course — Las Vegas. This is a city that was designed with excitement and diversion in mind, and boy, does it live up to those expectations. Even if you can’t afford to ball out and get a suite in a hotel, you can always try your hand at playing in the casinos. Get some practice under your belt, book a trip to Sin City, and you never know who you might end up sitting next to at the table.

Lake Como, Italy

Italy has long been a source of fascination for the rich and famous. There’s just something about that grand old country that’s oh so captivating; they seem to have figured out how to live life well. While there are great destinations up and down Italy, there are some that are a little more special than others. That’s certainly the case with Lake Como, a beautiful part of northern Italy that offers serenity and beauty in equal measure. Some of the most famous people in the world, including George Clooney and Madonna, own property in this part of Italy.

Aspen, Colorado

Celebrities and the wealthy like to spend their time on beaches, sure, but they can also be very much up for a snowy adventure. While there are plenty of fantastic snow destinations in the United States, there are none that can match Aspen for pure prestige. This is a luxury skiing destination that has some of the best hotels in the country. If you enjoy winter activities, then be sure to plan a trip to Aspen. You might just find that you’re rubbing elbows with some famous faces in your lodge.

Ibiza, Spain

Ibiza has been a celebrity favorite since the 1970s. There really is something special about this island, which is located just off the coast of mainland Spain. Name any celebrity who is known for having fun, and you can be certain that they’ve passed by Ibiza at least at some point in their lives. Even celebrities who aren’t necessarily known for having fun, such as Oprah Winfrey, have been spotted partying on the island.

Monaco

And finally, there’s Monaco. This doesn’t just attract the rich and famous. It is the rich and famous. Pay a visit to Monaco during summer, and you’ll see more luxury yachts and supercars than you’ve ever seen in your life; we guarantee it. There are more luxury restaurants, hotels, and stores than you can shake a stick at, and if you visit during the Grand Prix weekend, you’ll be certain to see some of the world’s most famous celebrities around town.
