The Unisa Council Bursary is presently accepting applications. The application deadline is May 31, 2022.

When using the bursary application platform, students are suggested to use Chrome and/or Internet Explorer. When contacting the university, students must use their myLife email account. Unisa Council has made funds available to help Unisa students in the following areas:

  • Students who were unable to complete their education due to unpaid debt
  • Students who are still in school but owe money
  • NSFAS was unable to assist new students.

Students must apply and meet the following conditions to be considered for this bursary:

  • Be a student from South Africa.
  • To be eligible for a formal qualification, you must first register.
  • A minimum of a 55 percent average is required.

Applications will be vetted by an outside service provider to ensure the accuracy of the information provided. To evaluate financial necessity, a means test will be performed. Forms that are not completely filled out will not be considered.
