The children of the EMMY Award-winning actress Kirstie Alley announced her passing on her Instagram on Monday, December 5, 2022. She was 71 when she died. At the time of her passing, she was receiving medical care at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. 

Alley’s children, True and Lillie Parker, wrote on Twitter that she passed away from cancer that had only recently been identified. The death was verified by Alley’s manager Donovan Daughtry in an email to The Associated Press.
