Adam Cole AEW Wrestler, salary, net worth, contract and career

Adam Cole began his professional wrestling career in 2009 with Ring of Honor, where he went on to become the first-ever three-time ROH World Champion. He has worked for a variety of indie firms since then, including Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he was a member of The Bullet Club stable.

Cole joined WWE in 2017 and began performing under the NXT brand. He then became the head of The Undisputed Era, which included Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong. Adam Cole is the only wrestler to win the NXT Triple Crown, outside of Johnny Gargano. He’s also the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history, having held the championship for 396 days.

Why did Adam Cole choose to leave WWE?

Cole last wrestled for WWE at NXT TakeOver 36, just before his contract with the company was about to end. Cole, on the other hand, had requested a short-term extension in order to finish his narrative with Kyle O’Reilly. So, after his WWE contract expired, he signed a new one with AEW, despite Vince McMahon’s plans for him on the main roster.

Despite desiring to be a WWE superstar since he was nine years old, Adam Cole has stated that switching to AEW was a relatively simple decision. While supporting his partner Britt Baker, he saw how the AEW team functioned and wanted to work with individuals he enjoyed being around all of the time and who were just as passionate about pro wrestling as he was.
